Both of these interviewees expressed views show common themes among the First World. They realize that the Third World exists but do not push to abolish the discrepancies between the oppressed and oppressor nations, just want the oppressor nation peoples not to fall into the state of the Third World. And these views are from the more leftist segments of Amerikan society. The mainstream of Amerika could not care less about the conditions of people in the world below them. And for the workers in Wisconsin, even those who professed some type of internationalism, their main concern is their own material well being. Far from producing revolutionary consciousness it came down to a dispute between Democrats and Republicans, a reformist campaign in essence. They inadvertantly realize that their well-being is many times better than that of the great majority of the world. Their wages and benefits, while under attack, make them part of the richest 15 to 20 percent of the world. A more just economic distribution of the resources of the world would make them and others in the First World have to cut back.

The so-called American Left is a political fraud and trojan horse.

Behind all their Marxist rhetoric about capitalism and imeprialism, who is the American left really?

They represent certain fringe sections of White intellectuals and middle class "activists."

As such, their own way of life, wealth, and privilege are necessarily based upon the American Empire's planetary system of pillage and exploitation--no different from the rest of mainstream America that they claim to oppose.

In fact, the very political distinction between American "left" and "right" is increasingly showing itself to be a phony distinction--a false political paradigm promoted across the spectrum from the radical Marxist to the conservative capitalist.

It's the left wing of Americanism vs. the right wing of Americanism.

May they all burn to hell.

This article does explain how things really are. Furthermore it hits home hard by declaring that we have to cut back here in the first world. This isn't what the first world left wants to hear. Only by addressing the relationship of the imperialist countries to the oppressed nations will we be able to understand how to stop the injustices such as the tragedy in Bangladesh. We, the people living within the imperialist countries directly benefit from the exploitation of third world workers.
Today, a strike by fast food workers is happening where I live. At a rally this afternoon I'll be handing out copies of the May Day fliers entitled SUPPORT THE UNITED FRONT AGAINST U.S. IMPERIALISM, by the revolutionary anti-imperialist movement (RAIM). I encourage everyone visiting this website to produce copies of this 2-sided piece and distribute them. Support Global People's War and the development of New Power, socialism with the goal of total liberation..."

Greetings from the "Gateway to the West" - The St. Louis Gateway Arch memorializes and celebrates the genocidal conquest of the western portion of the u$a by the european settler nation. Canada's status quo fears an indigenous insurrection because of the righteous resistance of First Nation peoples to the monopolization of resources. This article has more paranoia than realism within it. It is the same paranoia that supports the Israeli settler state against the Palestinian people.
Imperialists have an affinity with other settler states. That's why they flock together. We could only hope and pray that what they fear materializes. But that wouldn't be enough to win. Such an insurrection would most likely be crushed by imperialism. The Revolutionary Anti-Imperialist Movement works to build united fronts against imperialism to insure victory rather than defeat. We support indigenous peoples struggles and the struggles of Black, Brown and other oppressed people in imperialist countries for independence and self-determination. Building global united fronts with the oppressed peoples of the third world is the best way to achieve this.
Imperialism relies on armed force to ensure the enslavement of people and control of their resources. History proves that people's war is the way to independence and self-determination in the oppressed countries where the majority of people have "nothing to lose but their chains". In imperialist countries, where the oppressed are outnumbered; united fronts with people of the oppressed nations are absolutely necessary. A global people's war against imperialism is the key to self-determination and the new democratic revolution.

Firstly i must congratulate on the use of such powerful rhetoric by the author of the given article. Secondly being a part of the "third world " and a feminist i have two cases to consider in the article that i find objectionable.
A) the white "colonial " feminist (as you put it) are trying to provide an alternative. It maybe right or wrong. But branding them with such adhectives should not be encouraged. We must understand that the fight against patriarchy is not an isolated one and the same may fall if we dont stand united.
B) if one claims that the motto of the movement started by the europeans disintigrates the strong feminist bonds then i highly doubt the article too does the same...
Fight against patriarchy has to be fought united for the same succeed...
Hence i strongly support the cause taken up by the author but i request to reconsider the words chosen by the same...

This is a good overview of RAIM"s theory and practice. The interview specifies the work and role of RAIM members and supporters.
Anyone asking for definitions of Third Worldism-First Worldism-and anti-imperialism should be guided toward this interview, Last, but not least is the way to work with progrssive forces in the first world. People who recognize the fact of benefitting from super exploitation can and do struggle against it. Disspelling false notions of first world workers being exploited is part of that struggle.

So you mean that just for the sake of avoiding divisions among feminists, it is ok to accept imperialists and islamophobes amongst us.

Why is it so hard for you guys to see that Femen are just plain islamophobes trying to trivialize islamophobia and hatred towards muslims, especially muslim men, by shamelessly describing them all as "bearded inhumane beasts"?

As for your example about FGM - I wonder why MGM is not equally preoccupying to you, misandry maybe - I suggest you guys just leave those communities who practice it alone, they will figure out a way out of it with time, you don't have to speed up time for them.

Is it so hard to learn to stay inside your countries' borders and stop stepping on other countries' sovereignty.

You THINK that muslim women are afraid of their men!! Typical western supremacist naivety and simple-mindedness. GUYS ... FOR GOD SAKE .. MID YOUR OWN FREAKING BUSINESS AND ... ####LEAVE US ALNE####
